The Board of Deacons is responsible for the spiritual welfare and direction of the Church. This group of six men and six women meet monthly to consider, debate and discuss issues relating to worship, use of church facilities, and the church’s response to social issues within the local, state and global community. Deacons are called upon to serve as mentors for confirmands, and as sponsors for children and adults requesting baptism. They serve Communion, assist the Ministers in the work of the church and serve as “the pastor to the Pastor”.
