The mission of Hamilton House is to provide a program center for those over 55 years old without discrimination on grounds of race, creed, color or gender, and to offer a wide variety of activities that enhance the meaning, pleasure, and health of retirement years. WE seek to offer creative answers to problems most frequently experienced by the aging: isolation, inactivity, loneliness, insecurity, poor health, nutrition and financial worries. Our goal is to meet the needs of seniors in as many ways as possible, always carried out in a warm and friendly spirit.

You are invited to explore our offerings in the following areas:

  • Instructional: computers, French, German, Spanish, Lip-reading, Bridge, Slide Shows, communications, AARP Driving Alive, Self Help for the Hard-of-hearing, Health talks, and Special Presentations
  • Fine Arts: Watercolors, oil painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, creative writing
  • For Artisans: quilting, leaded glass, knitting, chair caning, smocking, weaving, calligraphy, crafts, photography
  • Physical activities: T’ai Chi, Qigong, Indian Clubs, Line Dancing, Bowling, Tennis
  • Games: Pocket Billiards, Bridge, Pitch, Cribbage, Backgammon, Scrabble, Chess, Mah-jongg
  • Discussion: Book Club, Great Decisions, Shakespeare, Current Events, Support Groups
  • Others: Movies, travel, music videos, music concerts, parties, trips, blood pressure screening and consultations, massage, flu shots, volunteer opportunites and nutritious lunches
