Central Congregational Church has enjoyed a history of musical distinction in the Providence community. We now invite you to consider your children's participation in a program designed especially for children grades 3-8.
Whereas many choirs encourage children to sing, Central's program is dedicated to teaching children not only to sing, but also to read and understand the music, as well. Through careful preparation and training, children come away having learned valuable skills that will last a lifetime while having developed leadership, discipline and a strong commitment to their faith.
With weekly rehearsals and opportunities to sing on Sunday, a choir program gets children involved in the life of the church. We hope to provide an environment where children can feel proud of their achievements while enjoying themselves. When this happens, it is naturally reflected in the music they produce!
For more information, or if you know a child grades 3-8 who may be interested in our program, please speak with Patrick Aiken, Choirmaster/Organist, at the church office (401.331.1960).
