The theme for this year’s Mission Suppers is “Poverty in Rhode Island.” The series concludes this week with a group discussion of “Poverty, by America” by Matthew Desmond. Desmond reimagines the debate on poverty, arguing that it persists because the rest of us benefit from it. Claudia’s book group joins us in the Fireplace Room following Lenten Mediations, for a light soup supper and scintillating discussion.
