Maundy Thursday & Potluck Supper / Service of Tenebrae

Thursday, Apr. 6, 6 pm / 7 pm

We will gather in Chapel Hall for a Potluck Supper before the service – and will  have activities that teach children about Maundy Thursday. Please bring a main dish or salad to share. Afterwards, our contemplative Service of Tenebrae recalls the Last Supper through scripture and music. Communion will be served, and the choir will sing “Cantos Sagrados,” by James MacMillan, about a political prisoner’s execution – a startling parallel to Jesus. This profound service ends in quiet and total darkness. (Children third grade and up are welcome to attend.)
