Support Mission and Action
At Central Congregational Church, our mission is to build loving relationships across all boundaries, both within and beyond the church. We’re committed to diverse projects - locally, nationally, and internationally - in human services, child welfare, health care, education, and spiritual support. We seek to tie our faith to social justice and shape cutting-edge theology and service in an ever-changing world - always trying to provide aid and resources to those who need it most.
Mission & Action Committee
Our Mission & Action Committee coordinates and volunteers hundreds of hours to a range of mission projects, with a focus on supplying basic needs to the individuals we serve. We provide hands-on volunteer opportunities, organize mission trips, sponsor after-church Mission Lunches and Lenten Mission Suppers, and spearhead UCC-wide fundraisers, including One Great Hour of Sharing and Neighbors in Need. In addition, the committee oversees Central’s annual benevolences to the mission partners we support financially.
You don’t need to be a committee member to get involved with Mission & Action. All are welcome to attend our monthly meetings. Contact Tracy Baran.
