A still of our group at the first worship service. Look for the red shirts–there are >200 of us in the New England group! If you want to see the video yourself, go to http://www.livestream.com/theunitedchurchofchrist/video?clipId=pla_8315f30c-02e3-4463-a12b-a37f9c5e71fc&utm_source=lslibrary&utm_medium=ui-thumb. This shot is from 36:19.
These pictures were taken at the University Place Retirement home, one of today’s service sites. The one picture is outside a resident’s door. He was a Colonel at West Point. Students did some dirty work (see pics) but also got to spend quality time with the residents. Reports from several students say it was an incredibly moving experience!

The LiveStream says it starts at 9:30, but the plenary actually begins at 9:45. It’s live NOW! You can watch and listen online at http://www.livestream.com/theunitedchurchofchrist. You may even catch a glimpse of our group out in the crowd. Very cool!
You can also watch last night’s worship service below. There is not video in the beginning, but if you stick with it, you’ll get to watch and listen to guest speakers. Very powerful! Enjoy!
Here’s a picture of our youth enjoying breakfast this morning at the National Youth Event. Some of our students will be doing service projects today–the others will be attending workshops in the morning and afternoon. Don’t forget to check out http://www.ucc.org/youth/nye/, where you can watch streaming video of the National Youth Event. Streaming live from Elliot Hall begins at 9:30AM today.
Everyone found out about their service projects for tomorrow and Thursday and also got to look at workshops. Kids will go in groups of 4+ to workshops they choose. They have some time to relax tonight before tomorrow–a busy day!
A quick update–everyone (from Maine as well as Cleveland) has arrived, eaten dinner, and settled into their rooms at the National Youth Event! For more on the itinerary, speakers, and programs, including streaming video from the event, check out http://www.ucc.org/youth/nye/.
