Friday Film Fare is back with “The Father” (2020), a challenging depiction of advancing age, as well as a moving human drama of loss and caring. Anthony Hopkins delivers an Oscar-winning performance as the independent father whose daughter (Olivia Colman) struggles to care for him as his failing abilities make it impossible. You will remember this one. Challenging? Yes. Moving? Enormously. [97 minutes; color; PG-13] Join host Jim Silverthorn in the Fireplace Room.
