Good Friday Service of Tenebrae

Friday, Apr. 18, 7 pm

Central’s contemplative Service of Tenebrae (Latin for “darkness”) recalls the Crucifixion through scripture and music. The readings take us from the betrayal of Christ through His death on the cross. This profound service ends in quiet and total darkness. The Central Congregational Church Choir will sing “O vos Omnes” by Pablo Cassals (1876-1973) and “Vinea Mea Electa” by Francis Poulenc (1899-1963). Children third grade and up are welcome to attend. Nursery care provided.
