WORD Lock-in

Saturday, April 2, 5 pm

Central’s senior high fellowship will have a lock-in at the church. We’ll have supper, play games, plan for Easter, and talk about our summer mission trip to Appalachia. On Sunday morning, we’ll enjoy breakfast and attend Worship together. All high school teens are encouraged to come – and bring their friends! We’ll meet in Chapel Hall. If you have any questions, contact Judy.

NEOS and WORD

Sunday, Mar. 27, 11:45 am

After coffee hour, NEOS and WORD will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of Nerf games!  Bring your Nerf Blasters, Nerf Bows, and Nerf Mavericks for an afternoon of cooperation and competition: darts, tag, target competition, and all-out chaos.  We’ll have extra Blasters for those who need them.  Please bring your own Nerf darts, if you have them. Refreshments will be served. Join us in Chapel Hall and bring your friends! This is going to be a blast!

Food Recovery for Rhode Island

Wednesday, Mar. 9, 6 pm

Following the Lenten Meditation, Central will host volunteers from Food Recovery for Rhode Island as part of our Lenten Mission Speakers series. This new URI program seeks not only to “rescue” wasted food and repurpose it for feeding people and animals, creating energy, and generating compost; but also to bring people together to learn, engage in dialogue, and take action to strengthen our local food system – to benefit Rhode Islanders, the economy, and our planet. Join us in Wilson Chapel!

Saturday, Mar. 12, 6 pm

NEOS and WORD will spend the night – in boxes out on the West Lawn – to learn about the prevalence of homelessness, measures being taken to help those in this difficult situation, and what we can do to help prevent it. Saturday, Mar. 12, 6 pm, on the West Lawn.
