Build Healthy Conflict Skills

It’s no secret we live in a divisive world, fracturing relationships between neighbors, friends, and families. How can each of us do a better job at building trust and creating common-ground conversations? Join the Mission & Action Committee for a skill-building workshop and panel discussion that explores healthy conflict from three perspectives: ministry, clinical practice, and the real-world de-escalation techniques of law enforcement. Angel Tree Gifts Due

This is the last week to help create a Merry Christmas for children in DCYF care. Look for our Angel Tree in the coatroom. Simply choose a tag – or tags – from the tree. Each bears a child’s name, age, gender, and suggested gift. Select a thoughtful, age-appropriate item. Wrap your gift, write the contents on back of the original tag, and attach it. Then deliver the gifts back to the Angel Tree by Dec. 14.

Christmas Festival of Lights

Bring family and friends to the La Salette Shrine Christmas Festival of Lights – featuring more than one million holiday lights! This year’s theme is “Rejoice in Hope! (Romans 12:12, 13:12). As we walk through the brilliant display, we not only will experience holiday beauty and sparkle, but also Christ’s hope shining for the world. Please join us at The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette (947 Park St., Attleboro, Mass.)

Christmas at Central!

Spread the word: This one-stop-shopping mecca features the Craft Workshop (handmade crafts and holiday décor), themed Gift Baskets, Grandma’s Attic (collectibles, antiques, and flea-market finds), Sweet Shoppe, handcrafted Wreaths by CCC Youth, Ye Olde Book Cellar, an appearance by children’s book author Peter Mandel who will be on hand to sign his books, and a Lunch Room, where guests can enjoy homemade soup and bread. Set-up is Saturday, Dec. 6, at 8:30 am.

CCC Youth Wreath Making

Once again, CCC Kids and Youth will be making Christmas wreaths to help fund their summer mission trip. You can help by contributing pinecones for decorating. Then join them in the Makepeace Room for all sorts of crafty fun with glue guns, pinecones, and ribbons. Nursery care will be available, and snacks will be on hand for the helpers! Christmas at Central Donations

Nov. 30 to Dec. 6

Help make our annual holiday FUNraiser the success we know it can be! We especially need baked goods, books, and items for Grandma’s Attic. (No toys, games or videos, please.) Drop off donations on the Chapel Hall stage Sunday, Nov. 30 through Saturday, Dec. 6, at 9 am. We’re also looking for volunteers. Contact the committee chairs to offer your services. Thank you!

Rashomon Auditions

CCC Players is casting its spring performance of “Rashomon,” derived from works by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. Auditions are open to all whether you’re a skilled performer or total theater novice. Cherub Choir Rehearsal

Do you have a young singer at your house – in preschool through the third grade? Then you’ll be glad to know that the Cherub Choir is back up and running.
