All Saints Sunday
Sunday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 am
All Saints Day is a joyous occasion at Central. The children make “paper-bag Saints” of people they see as saints in their lives. On Sunday morning, they’ll process into Worship with their paper-bag Saints – accompanied by the All Saints Band playing “When the Saints Go Marching In” – and then bring the bags home to fill with food items for Your Neighborhood Food Pantry (www.ynfp.org). Especially needed this year: canned goods and peanut butter. They’ll gather before Worship in Chapel Hall.
Confirmation Class
Sunday, Nov. 3, 9:15 am
Confirmation is an important milestone in the Christian life cycle, as well as life here at Central. All eighth graders – and older youth who wish to join – are invited on this journey of spiritual discovery. Confirmands investigate their personal sense of the Mystery, set intentions for leading spiritual lives that are fulfilling to them, and help each other wrestle with theological questions as they share unique experiences, perspectives, and beliefs. Confirmation Sunday will be Jan. 12.

Thursday, Oct 17, 6:30 pm
We are continuing to explore Paul’s Fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control –and what they mean for us today. Just sign up in Chapel Hall! We’ll meet at Tracy Baran’s home.
Blessing Bags Project
Sunday, Oct. 6, 11:30 am
CCC Youth is assembling hygiene kits that they’ve termed “Blessing Bags” for Better Lives Rhode Island – a non-profit that helps unhoused individuals find shelter and much-needed services. You can support our youth in this endeavor by donating hygiene products on our Amazon Blessing Bags Wish List and by helping assemble the Blessing Bags on Sunday, Oct. 6, after Worship, in Chapel Hall. Contact Morgan Johnson or Cheryl Ludwig, CCC Youth volunteers, for more information.
