World’s Greatest Pancake Breakfast

Saturday, May 3, 8 am

Scouts BSA Troop 28’s one and only annual fundraiser is here!  Join them in Chapel Hall for the popular and delicious “World’s Greatest Pancake Breakfast”  – and bring your appetite. They’ll be serving until 12 noon. Scouting roots grow deep at Central.  We are the sponsoring organization for Cub Scout Pack 88 and Scout Troop 28, which offer young people adventure, camaraderie, and mentorship in character.

Inquirers’ Meeting

Sunday, Apr. 27, 11:30 am

If you’re looking for a church, we’d love to talk with you about it at our Inquirers’ Meeting. This is an informal gathering … with no commitment required.  Just a chance to talk with our senior minister, Patrick Faulhaber, and others like you who think Central may be the right church home. To attend, simply contact the Church Office and meet us in the Fireplace Room.

TopGolf

RSVP by Friday, Mar. 21

Whether you’re an aspiring golf pro or picking up a club for the first time, TopGolf is fun for all ages. Giant targets and fancy golf balls keep score, so CCC Kids and Youth can focus on having fun. Bring the whole family, if you like. Tickets are $20 each / $30 per family. The event is Sunday, Mar. 30, 2 to 4 pm, at TopGolf RI (120 Sockanosset Cross Rd., Cranston, 401-537-5140).  Please RSVP to Susannah by this Friday.

Stewardship Scavenger Hunt

Sunday, Mar. 23, 11:30 am

Mark your calendar for Central’s annual Stewardship Scavenger Hunt. This family-friendly, fun-filled adventure will lead you through every nook and cranny of our church. On the way, you’ll learn about our place of worship and the wonderful initiatives your pledge helps provide: mission and ministries, upkeep of our historic church building, salaries of our ministers and staff, and our inspiring music and fellowship programs. Join us in Chapel Hall!

Faith Exploration

Wednesday, Feb. 12, 7:30 pm

People who are considering membership in Central Congregational Church will meet once again with our senior minister Patrick Faulhaber – in the Fireplace Room – to share stories of faith and discuss what they want and need in a church.  If you have questions, please contact the Church Office (401-331-1960 / cccangell@centralchurch.us) – and Patrick will get in touch.

New Nursery Hours

Sundays, 9 am

The Nursery will now open at 9 am on Sundays, so those with children may attend choir rehearsal, Adult Sunday School, and any other pre-Worship committee meetings or activities.  And please welcome Beth Callaway, Central’s newest nursery worker, who will be working alongside longtime team member, Kathleen O’Hara.
