Hats off to Daniel Rogers!

Thanks to the generosity of so many Central members, as well as others in our community, Scout Troop 28 – led by Eagle Scout Daniel Rogers – assembled more than 200 hot-weather kits for unhoused people in Providence. They distributed the kits in early June – once again proving that “Kindness Matters.” Central is proud to be the sponsoring organization of Troop 28.

Best Wishes, Frances and Bob!

Sunday, Aug. 6, 11 am

Please join Frances Munro and Bob Stout for their wedding ceremony – immediately following Worship – and the reception afterwards in Chapel Hall. Both long-term members of Central, Frances and Bob were merely acquaintances when they joined Not Just Supper, Central’s social group for singles, a few years ago. The rest, as they say, is history.

Pick up a Car Sign

We still have oval car signs available – magnets and stickers – to celebrate our wonderful and welcoming church, invite others to join us, and communicate our core values. There are two designs each bearing Central’s website address:  “CCC” and “Kindness Matters.”  Pick up one or two in Chapel Hall after Sunday Worship or in the Church Office – and help us spread our message of caring and hope!

Accolades: Bob Iovino-Zuniga

HopeHealth, one of New England’s largest hospice, palliative, and home care organizations, has named Bob Iovino-Zuniga Volunteer of the Year. Bob learned about HopeHealth when his partner Ken was in hospice care and eventually trained as a HopeHealth volunteer, offering companionship and respite visits to hospice patients for more than a decade. Two years ago, he started facilitating HopeHealth’s biweekly LGBTQ+ Grief Support Group. Congratulations, Bob!
