Confirmation Orientation

Sunday, Oct. 2, 11:30 am

The 2022/23 Confirmation Class will begin with an orientation for teens and parents. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the confirmation process, discover how classes are run, ask questions, and share concerns.  Depending on the weather, we’ll meet outside at the labyrinth or inside in Chapel Hall.

Guiding Eyes for the Blind

Sunday, Oct. 2, 11:30 am

Ever wonder what it takes to raise a guide dog for the blind? Guiding Eyes is a non-profit organization that provides guide dogs – at no charge – to people with vision loss. On Oct. 2, Central will host an information session about becoming a Guiding Eyes puppy raiser. Volunteers care for puppies and teach them to enjoy being with people, cultivating the confidence these dogs need and preparing them for guide dog training. Join us in Chapel Hall.

WORD Collects “Clothes for Kids”

through Sunday, Oct. 9, 11:30 am

WORD, Central’s high school fellowship group, is organizing a clothing drive for children in kindergarten through twelfth grade.  Pick up a flyer in the Gallery or go to the “Clothes for Kids” website (https://clothestokidsri.org/donate/donation-guidelines/) to see what items are accepted and needed most.  Please leave your contributions at the collection spot in Chapel Hall. Sunday, October 9, is the last day to donate.

Calling All Photographers!

We are looking to develop a list of volunteers to photograph church activities, events, and outings – instead of relying on the same few individuals. This will help mark Central moments in history and enhance newsletter and social media campaigns. Prior to an event, we’ll send an email asking if you are available. After you photograph – and enjoy – the event, simply email the photos to the church office. If you’re interested in joining the Central Photography Group, call 401-331-1960 or email Antonia Greco (antonia@centralchurch.us) or Steve Heywood, (steve@centralchurch.us[Read More]

Baptism Meeting

Saturday, Sep. 24, 10 am

The Sacrament of Baptism is the beginning of Christian faith and life – and a vital part of our worship together. If you would like to be included in this celebration of love and acceptance into the care of Christ’s church, please speak to the Rev. Rebecca Spencer and join us in the Fireplace Room for this gathering for those wishing to be baptized.  The actual Baptisms will take place on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 10:30 am.
